The MaxQ HP incubated/refrigerated floor model orbital shaker is ideal for solubility studies, extraction procedures, cell cultures, general mixing, hybridization, bacterial suspensions, plasmid purification, protein expression, staining, destaining, and washing procedures.

The designs such as foot pedal and large viewing window ensure the hands-free loading of samples and sample viewing without disturbing the chamber atmosphere. These maintenance free units feature variable speed control, digital display that shows both run and actual set points simultaneously for speed, temperature and time.

The shakers come standard with several built-in safety features, audible and visual alarms when unit exceeds set speed or temperature, soft start and stop to prevent splashing of flasks, and large suction feet to prevent walking at high speeds. Units also include built in remote alarm contacts for continuous monitoring of delicate samples. There is also a key lock to prevent unauthorized access to samples.

The shaker holds a 749×457 mm universal platform with a wide range of clamps to accommodate most vessels. In addition, there are a range of dedicated platforms to select from to accommodate higher throughput demands of more common vessel sizes. Platforms are made of anodised aluminium to protect against corrosion.

This shaker operates at speeds of 25 to 525 rpm with a 25 mm orbit. Built in timer operates from 1 min up to 199 hours and 59 minutes continuously. Memory is non-volatile so automatically retains the last programmed settings. Units can maintain samples from 4 °C above ambient to 60 °C in 0,1°C increments with ±0,1 °C control. The heavy duty triple counterbalanced drive mechanism is designed for 24/7 reliable use and can handle heavy loads up to 71 lbs. while providing uniform agitation of full or unbalanced loads even at high speeds. The interior is made of stainless steel and an optional stainless shelf is available for static incubation.
